Varicose veins, also called “varicosities”, are fine veins that appear in small nets also “Telangiectasia” or spider veins. Varicose veins and spider veins can deteriorate if left untreated as well as even lead to complications. It is therefore recommended to consult a phlebologist for an evaluation and treatment.

The treatment of varicose veins is carried out by sclerotherapy. This non-invasive or minimally invasive treatment requires no recovery period. The number of treatments needed varies for each person. Sometimes a single treatment will be sufficient and in other cases several treatments will be recommended.

Disorders of the venous system most often affect the legs, causing various symptoms such as:

  • pain in the ankles, calves or legs.
  • edema (swelling).
  • redness.
  • varicose veins and spider veins.
